Katelin’s Delight: A Goodbye with Friends
My inaugural delight! June 12th was departure day, an 8 pm flight to Copenhagen out of MSP. Having already sold our home, we’d been jumping from place to place the last two weeks-Chicago, Deborah with Nick’s parents, Des Moines with Nick’s brother, and finally back to Minneapolis, split between Nick’s sister and our friends Zach and Casey. It had been a chaotic few weeks but it was incredible to have time to say long goodbyes. Onto the delight though.
Before we left Zach and Casey brought out a bottle of prosecco and we cheers’d to the start of our trip. They live right off the light rail so they walked us to the train, captured our departure pictures (see below), and sent us on our way! What a delight to share our departure with people we love!
Nick’s Delight: Same as Katelin
After a stressful final day of closing some loops and completing procrastinated administrative tasks, it was such a joy stop and have a great toast with our friends Casey and Zach. And then for them to walk us to the light rail and say bon voyage was a treat!
